Oreo, is the next iteration of Android version. Google announced this in conjunction with the first solar eclipse that can be seen in US coast to coast in 99 years. link link

This version will be labelled as Android 8 or LOS15
Note the previous version of Android, Nougat was also announced on 22 Aug in 2016. link
